Which one is the easiest to code for?

I'm pretty much a php/perl nub and want to learn how to make my forums so that if i post in the news forum, it also gets posted in on my news page of my website. Anyone know where I can steal a script to do that? Or is it easy to code it myself?

There are plenty of scripts that do that, just look around.

Oh, and as in which one is easier, neither, hehe. I would just start making a "forum" from scratch on your own. If you just want to learn, you'll learn much more starting from scratch.

They all have tons of mods and add-ons available to do pretty much anything you want to do. I've heard that InvisionBoard is less CPU-intensive than phpBB, but that would depend on the options you set it up with. I've been using Invision and have been able to modify things by hand pretty easily.

cpu intensive serverside or client side? all the scripts i find want to charge me $20 a month to use them...
