PHP on AIX?

So, my employers have been using Soupermail to write HTML forms for years. Unfortunately Soupermail has not been updated since 2001. Fall to the student worker to determine the course for our department to take.

I'm thinking PHP, but how well does it configure for AIX? I heard a rumor that there were major problems at one point, but can find no information about it on the web.

Our solution only needs to cover simple forms and mailing. We have servers running both AIX 4.3.3 and AIX 5.1.

It might cost you big in consulting fees but talking to IBM is one way to go (if no one here has the experience). They're pretty into php I think so I'm sure it's supported. Or, running your own bsd or linux box would probably be more flexible if you have the resources for that.
