I am going to be writing a fairly involved website in php/MySQL, and rather than upload it to my linux box every time I want to test it, what's the easiest way to test it in XP? I could edit it directly on the linux box, but it is really slow & the XP one would just be easier. I tried installing Apache, which works fine, but for some reason mysql won't work. I used the phptriad program (installs apache, php & mysql at once). 2 of the 3 work.

Anyways, is there any IDE, similar to MS Frontpage for HTML or Visual C++ that I can write and test it in the same program for php?

uploading isn't that much trouble is it?

use winscp to do your file transfers if you don't like using the command prompt. winscp

Tried HydraPHP though & it seems to be pretty nice.
