Anyone know any free software to stitch together pictures to create a panoramic view?

Just go with PanoTools and PTGui.

Nothing else with give as good results, and it's relatively cheap.

I know an excellent free one. I just cant remember what the name is right now. And it's on my other harddrive. I built a new computer and need to pull some files off of it some day.

Here's a picture that I did though. The pictures were quite a bit off as you can see by the curve. But it stil managed to stitich them together pefect.

I found in the retail box there was some software called "Digital Camera Software", and it came with a prog called "Photostitch". It's free, and seemed to work good enough. Although, I can't align images veritcally, only horizontally.

One of the best pieces of panoramic software was Enroute. They sort of folded when XP came along. But - Corel must have bought them, because the good old Enroute panware is now built in to Corel's Photo Album 6.

OK - a little more research tells me that Quickstitch has evolved from Enroute's original product. If it's free - endorse it. As I recall it will handle a 6x6 vertical and horizontal array.

Here are a couple of samples:
