Photostitch software

I have a Canon S400, but the panoramic stitching software won't install on two of my computers. Is there a program available (preferably free) that can stitch photos together to make a larger panoramic?

Thanks in advance.

Here's one:

I use Corel Photo Album 6 - it has the old Enroute Software capability. I don't mess with freeware.

Thanks for the suggestions. The reason I didn't want to pay for one is the fact that I don't take that many panoramics on my camera, so it wouldn't really be worth it to buy a program.

OK - perhaps your camera came with a panoramic software program? Mine did. I do all my processing and organizing with Corel PhotoAlbum 6 - and it has a panoramic stitcher built in - from the old reliable Enroute Software that used to be bundled with Olympus cameras.

Matter of fact, Canon has a free download of Photostitch software for your S400. :)

Mine did, it just had a problem installing on my computer. Canon cameras come with ZoomBrowser and a program called PhotoStitch. The ZoomBrowser would install fine, but the installation would fail on its attempt to install PhotoStitch. I'll probably work around it by sending pictures to one of my parent's computers that actually can run the program and have them run the stitch program and send the file back to me. I may be getting another camera (possibly a digital SLR or something more advanced than the basic P&S) and use the software that comes with that. Thanks for the advice.

If you decide to purchase stitching software you might want to look at Autopano, they licensed some of the technology from Autostitch for it.
I can also say Autostitch is nice, worked for me quite well, although I didn't use it much, just played around a bit once or twice.

I thought Canon PhotoStitch software comes with all Canon digital camera CD. I had mine with Powershot A610 but I used it once and it works very well I took few pictures from my vacation on the Mills Mountain.
