OK, I have like probably 1,000 or so bitmaps, all of which are currently saved in 16 or 24bit color.
I need to produce the best possible fitting 256 color pallate for ALL 1,000 bitmaps, i.e. I should end up with ONE 256 color pallate which is the best possible fit for all the bitmaps... did that make sense?
And YES, I KNOW IT PROBABLY WON'T BE PRETTY AND I WILL LOSE LOTS OF THE PRETTY SHADING, but thats not the issue, the issue is just HOW DO I DO IT?
I thought at one time i heard of a program Debabilizer or somethign that would do this automatically... but I can't find any information on it.
