I found a pretty cool tutorial for a text effect to use for a business card I'm making, it has a lot of steps. I'd like to see how it looks with different fonts without re-doing the entire thing every time. I know how to delete actions, but can you go back to like the 2nd action you did and just change that? I don't know if i'm explaining this so it's easy to understand what I'm trying to do.

Was thinking about it, this could be useful for when I'm working on something and want to go back to a certain step and just change the one.

You can't change a specific step in your history. If you post the tutorial, maybe we can figure out a way to streamline the process for you.

I didn't think you could, but it was worth asking. As for the tutorial I'm done with it, I did it 12 times and got all the colors/fonts combinations I wanted out of it. ended up taking me about an hour, which is fine ain't got nothing else to do today. I was mostly asking for future reference as some of the stuff I try in PS will be pretty indepth and take awhile, being able to just edit the 1 step way back in the process would be cool. Maybe next years version will have it. Well I'm running 7 haha old, but got it cheap.

thanks for the reply

For future reference you can have actions stop at a particular point in the process to allow your input then continue with the rest of a set of actions. I hope that was understandable.
