Hey guys. I'm getting together some pictures to print off to send to my mother of her grandaughter and da wife. The first pic is the one that I'm really concerned with. I was wondering if there was any way to get the background lightened up (this was taken with a cheap disposable) so that you can see da wife in the right hand side.
The other two pics which are less important, I was just wondering if it would be possible to lighten the background a bit.
I tried autolevels but it just normalizes to the people and doens't help the background.
Any help would be appreciated.
edit: or even if you could tell me rought how to do it myself. I have photoshop 7. Thx.

I guess there's really not a lot you can do for the wife in picture a. Looks like if you push it any further she'll get all noisy 😛
