I have some pictures that have lens flare at a difficult location. I know to use to clone tool for simple flare (ie, sky), but not sure how to proceed more complex situations. Please take a look below and let me know how to do it.

Lens flare is a booger to deal with. Some ideas here: http://www.wonderhowto.com/how-to-remove-lens-flare-photoshop-16530/

And save for better, more flare-resistance glass. Sometimes there just isn't much you can do when you have to shoot into a light source unless you can block it, like with her head.

I am familiar with the head blocking technique, which is actually quite desirable for headshots. Unfortunately for me, the flamenco singer kept moving around on-stage, and I was unable to follow her lest I block the audience.

Upgrading is always an option, but the next step up would be several grands more. I feel that the 70-200 2.8 is already a beast to travel with; I can't imagine what's it is like to carry around the 200-400 4.0 or 200 2.0.

Below are pictures from the same shoot that turned out better. First one uses the head blocking technique, the second has better flare control (still a little on the fan).

got ride of the flare in CS5 using content aware fill and some spot healing brush.

the pic that has flare on the fan will be VERY difficult since there is a design, but i'll try

Great job. I just looked up content aware in CS5; I'm still in shock. Time to save up for an upgrade.
