Photoshop help. Just a little thing!

I am trying to create some tabs and am stuck with the the statement below:

CTRL + Click on the layer with the tab button in the Layers Window to select it. Grab the Rectangular Marquee tool and subtract the lower 2/3 of the selection of the tab button.

select your tab with either the ctrl click thing or the magic wand (may have to tweak to get edges perfect), then use the box selection tool to deselect the top half (alt-click i think). It's pretty straightfoward. Post back if you have problems.
