I am wondering if there is a plugin that will allow you to take an image in photoshop, and kind of "rotate" it in 3D as though you are rotating the image along a Z axis or something, and show a result of the image on the 2D plane as though you rotated it in 3d.

does this exist?

you can apply the image to a 3d surface in photoshop, no plugins needed...i forget what the procedure is though. i know i did it in photpshop 5, i don't know if the feature is sitll in 4 versions later....

edit: couldn't you use edit->transform->perspective?
