So the image I am trying to edit or have someone help edit for me is the following.

Balrog

All i'm trying to do is basically get rid of the purple color hue to that image. I want to try and get all of the purple "splatter" into blue color, similar to the blue that he is wearing on his outfit.

I also want to get the purplish background "smoke" color that you see to be blue as well.

Is there any way in photoshop to do this or am I pretty much SOL?

The reason I'm doing this is because I'm building another joystick and want to have this as my background artwork, however I was going to use purple/black buttons but those buttons are impossible to find, and blue/white buttons are easier to find. So that is why I want to get rid of the purple color and replace it with a blue :)

BTW, the blue buttons I'm goign to be using are these ones so that is the kind of blue color i'm going for on the image, thanks.

EDIT:

here is the finished graphic .... http://i39.tinypic.com/2zsrwg3.jpg

EDIT 2:

so as promised, here is the joystick case, almost finished, the guy still needs to stain it and router out the button holes then it'll be ready to build!

EDIT 3:

as promised, here is a pic of the actualy joystick. i don't have it wired up yet but i received the case today and mounted the joystick and buttons, so here it is!

i only have a cellphone for camera now, and the pic doesn't do the finish on the wood justice. it's like mirror finish.

Pic of actualy joystick!

Two selective color layers and a hue/sat layer.

Oh, so you're the purbeast on SRK.

The button bezels will obscure most of the detail on those splash rings.

yah that's me.

it won't obscure much of them, i'm putting sanwas in there, and the sanwa bezels are pretty thin.

Nice work!

Going to stain/paint that wood?

Edit: I lose at reading. Dark stain, I assume?
