Photoshop CS3 won't start

For the last two days, I haven't been able to start Photoshop CS3. I get the error below every time. However, I have no problem starting any other software -- including Adobe Bridge CS3 -- Photoshop CS3's little cousin.

Thinking something was corrupted, I repaired Photoshop CS3 using my original disk (takes about an hour). Would anyone know what the issue it?

I don't want to remove then re-install Photoshop CS3 yet -- I'd like to know first if someone would know my issue.

System:
Asus A8N-SLI Premium
AMD 4800+
2x 1Gb Corsair Value Select PC3200
eVGA 7900GT
1x WD160 SATA II
4x WD640 SATA II

Thanks in advance for all your help!

sometimes the prefetch data being corrupt can cause issues like this even after a repair/reinstall. Go to C:\windows\prefetch and delete everything there and give your machine a reboot. See if that helps.

Soundmanred: I check with my Bitstream font navigator and the required fonts are still there and active.

RadiclDreamer: I deleted everything in /prefetch/ and rebooted and I still get the same error message.

I recently consolidated two internal drives to my single WD640. As such, I have one less drive. One of these drive MAY have been a Photoshop scratch disk... which may be part of the problem (it's looking for the drive but can't find it). I tried to find the file with the scratch disk info but couldn't.

On a separate note, I've deleted the Photoshop settings file -- which usually solves such problem -- but not in this case.

One last idea before I wipe it clean?

I'm shooting a wedding (my site is http://www.jrgeoffrion.com for those curious) and will be able to implement any recommendations in the morning.

Thanks again!

SOLVED.

It appears that this particular issue has to do with font. I removed a bunch of fonts and it solved the problem. Unfortunately, I didn't mark the exact fonts I removed as I removed entire "series" / "groups".

Hope this helps someone.
