Photoshop CS2 JPEG file association

I recently upgraded to CS2, and I lost the ability to right click on a JPEG file and select "Open with Photoshop" or "Open with ImageReady". It still works with PNG files so I think it's a file association problem. I tried looking around Photoshop preferences but couldn't find anything there. How can I restore the open with photoshop menu?

couldn't you just right click while holding shift, select "open with" and add CS2 to the list? I'm sure there's an option in Photoshop, but the way I mentioned seems to always work for me *shrug*

suggestion 2:

open explorer
tools
folder options
file types

then find JPG and JPEG and add CS2 as a file type

this might not be what you wanna do exactly, but it would add CS2/ImageReady as an open option without any extra clicks.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "add CS2 as a file type". JPG and JPEG already exist, and are opened by irfanview, which is the desired behaviour when I double click on a JPG files. In fact, even PNG files are opened by irfanview when double click on them, but when I right click on them I see an option to open the file in Photoshop, and that's what I want.

You mean in Explorer?
Open, Edit, Print, Preview, Convert to Adobe PDF, Combine in Adobe Acrobat, EditPlus(text editor), BitDefender(my AV), Open With, Add to archive, Add to <filename.rar>, Compress and email, Compress to <filename.rar> and email, Send To, Cut, Copy, Create Shortcut, Delete, Rename, Properties.

In "Open With" submenu, there should be "Choose Program" at the bottom.
Select that and then select Photoshop CS2 (if not, click the Browse button and navigate to the .exe)
Once it launches from there close PSCS2.
Right click the .jpg and check the "Open With" submenu menu again.
Is PSCS2 listed now?

Yes it is, but it's different from what I want. For a PNG file for example, "Open with ImageReady" and "Open with Photoshop" appears right at the main menu when I right click, not in the "Open With" submenu. I know I'm being anal here but I'd like to have it the same way with JPEGs as well if at all possible.
