Photoshop and GPUs

it's an issue of drivers. there is no "specification" in place for photoshop to make use of the GPU or video RAM for purposes of efficiency directly. it's not worth the development time for adobe to waste developing solutions for a fragmented industry, without a specification in place. directx does not server the purposes that photoshop would need for acceleration.
