Photoshop 7 - Scripting and automation question. I have 200 pic to process!! lol

Hi guys..i have a question regarding the automation process in photoshop:
Lets say i took 200 digital pic and i need to auto adjust all the pic's colour balance, contrast and finally reducing the pic's resolution and size. Is there a way to automate this task instead of doing it one by one which is very time consuming? Is scripting used for this purpose? I know the Automation feature for creating a web pic gallery works in the similar fashion. Is there a way to customize this like as described above? please provide some help!

Thanks!

You can try using Irfanview for batch processing, but Im not sure it does what your asking. Check it out, if theres no other choice

With PS7, you can record an action script. Open up one of the pictures, create a new script and start recording. To all the things you need to do like Auto Leveling, Auto Contrast, resizing, etc. and then stop the recording. Now you can execute that script on all 200 files using the Automation option in the File menu.

this one's pretty simple... jsut open up one of the pictures. go to actions and record a new action on exactly what you want to do to it (including resizing and auto balance)

hit stop recording and then close and don't save the picture

then you go to file > batch somethign or another (can you tell i don't have PS open 😉)

you want to perform an action on a group of files in a folder and you want to "save and close" when done

simple 🙂
