What is the best formula for scanning pictures into PhotoShop 5.5? I have a Visioneer One Touch 8800 scanner. I have 6 photos a friend from work gave me and she wants to email them to another friend. I want to get them all on one 1.44mb disk if possible with the best quality possible. They are all Black and White old photos.

Also if I want to print photos taken from a Nikon 800, what are the best settings "resolution" in PhotoShop to print photos? Do I need to resize the pictures or just print them? What is a good program to load the pics into for printing? I would like to group four to a page...

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

assuming u've successfully installed the scanner.
in Photo, FILE | IMPORT | then choose the TWAIN.
since u've got six pix to fit into a floppy, go to FILE | SAVE FOR WEB. there, u can play with the settings by adjusting the quality. click on the 2UP tab to compare the original image and the new image with its new compressed size at the bottom.
printing, dang, thats pretty tricky stuffs. optimum settings is dependant on dpi (dots per inch) more is better for printing. around 300 to 400 is good while u're in the TWAIN for importing from the scanner. i've seen professional scans for print all the way to 4800dpi.
let me know how things work out
