In my digital photography elective class today, we were charged with making a poster that represented our photography, and laid things out on a grid. That was pretty much the whole assignment. This is what I came up with so far, and I am quite happy with the results. Let me know what you all think!

those are your photos?!
I think my photo 1 instructor here at OSU showed the one that's in the top-left corner of the poster. I think. At least, I've seen it somewhere and I want to say she showed it on a slide. Maybe I just saw it on another site (definitely wasn't your site, never been there. but I like it :)).
I'm going to read everything on your photo tips and tricks site, but can you explain HDR photography in a nutshell? How do you capture that dynamic punch? I shoot film btw, first it's a film class and two, I want to move back into the darkroom (have to wait until photo 2 for that), as I loved it in my high school photo class. And it's color photography, unless I instruct the lab to print in B&W. I love B&W photography and that's why I love the darkroom, but springtime can offer some amazing color shots and I want to maximize my potential. Hot contrast is one of my favorite things when working with B&W, but I don't think it's the same idea as HDR.

Oh, and are a majority of those photos on that poster all long-exposure at night? I've seen some shots that have that similar eerie yet colorful look, and they were long exposure at night.

I believe the one you're talking about was in last month's photo contest here.

maybe that's where I saw it, as I was digging around the photos submitted and winners a few days back.

The majority of the pictures are all HDR made from 3 raw files. I will work on a anandtech / photo tips tutorial, and post it here along with some rar's to follow along with if you would all like.

Yeah, a tutorial on your methodology would be cool. I still have my doubts about HDR. I think it's something you either love or hate.

is it something that can be equaled with film photography in a negative? Or would you have to scan the negatives? Unless done with a professional scanner, I can't see that method being print worthy.

Could you accomplish it using multiple exposures in a single frame? Have any tips for exposure compensation if going that route?

If it's really only accomplishable using digital editing techniques, then add that as another thing I dislike about digital photography. :p However, it is apparently one of my favorite digital photography techniques, as I love the way the resulting final image looks.

and on an off-topic note: why the hell does firefox not recognize accomplishable as a word? webster says otherwise. :D
