Did Dell recently or in the past have a deal on the 70-200mm f/2.8L USM lens?

If so, what was the deal with coupons and what not? I know that it normally goes for around $1600.00 brand new from bhphoto.
 
It happened quite a while ago, and you missed it. It was some kind of pricing error that they decided to honor. Basically, if you ordered early enough, you got it for ~$1100 without doing anything special, besides waiting a couple months for Dell to get more in. Sketcher got one, but it took quite a while if I recall correctly. Considering it was a discount of ~$500 it was quite the hot deal.
 
Yep, I got one too. Decided I couldn't justify it and sold it on eBay for $1600. It was back in Oct or Nov, I think.
