Hello Everyone,

I am looking to build a very efficient editing machine extensively for heavy photoshop use snd other photo editing related software. My current macbook from 2012 is very slow and is very difficult to keep up with my workflow. I debated going between imac or pc and have decided pc due to cost and customization. I have been away from building pcs and am not very aware of which parts would be best. I will slso use this build for VR gaming.

Looking for your suugestions. In my reserach many have suggested going ryzen and at least 32 gig ram.

Budget is $2k -2.5k cdn. Appreciate your time and suggestion very much.

Thank you All!

Yes Ryzen is good for lightroom and photoshop. I personally use lightroom more and photoshop only if needed.

I have a first gen 1600 with 32GB of RAM. The pros are I can use all 12 threads but my system doesn't seem to like using more than 14 GB of RAM.. at least so far.
