Photography/Business Question

I'm an amateur photographer and many of my photos are on the web. I was recently contacted by an organization that wants to use my photo on the cover of their report/publication. And they are asking me how much I would charge them for the use of my photo. They said the photo would take up half of the cover and the report would have a printing of 750 copies. Does anyone know the going rate for something like this because I really have no idea. I appreciate any help. Thanks!

Make sure you specify whether your negotiated fee is for single- or perpetual-use. Otherwise, the organization may feel that their payment includes all future use of your work.

BTW that is an EXTREMELY small print run. I don't think your licensing fee should exceed $500 max.

$20-200 would be fair.

Good luck!
