The zipper on my current day hike backpack is going out and I would not trust it on a long hike. I am also buying a DSLR very soon. Thus it makes sense for me to get a backpack to hold my DSLR gear, but also get one large enough for the rest of my trail supplies. Definitely needs waist and chest belts/clasps.
Any suggestions or personal experiences with them? I found a nike Lowepro but it's somewhere around $150. I just can't see spending that much on a simple non-frame backpack. Also found a different one by Tamrac for about $60. Unfortunately it had no straps to hold a tripod.
