I like image 5 the best. It's framed well, the lines are interesting, the lighting is great. You get a very organic feel to the piece. The water droplets almost look like glass and are intersting to look at. The depth of field is also superb. Defiantly the best of the bunch. The rest of the pics.... meh.

--edit--
In fact if you have a large version please post it. I'd like to use it as a background for a while. :)

What aperture are these pics taken at? Looks like you could have stopped down the lens a little more to extract maximum detail from some of those close-ups.

I have added the original size version of image 5. The image isn't exactly high-res (1280*960) nor is it a .tiff, but it should display fine with a border. This image is 194 KB.

I don't really like them. :( No offense meant at all, of course.

There is just something about them that doesen't seem quite right to me.

#1 is pretty cool. Not really sure what you could change to make it better.

#2 is uninteresting

#3 would be better if it wasn't black and white. The picture composition is good, though.

#4 Needs something... not sure what it is. The black and white could work in this pic, but something is missing.

#5 I like this pic, but there is something wrong with it. It's a little overexposed, so you're lacking detail in the leaves and water drops.

#6 is cool, but I think i would've taken the pic at the very end of the shoot. There is no focus grabber as a result of the branch continuing out of the frame.

Just my opinions. As always, keep shooting! ;)

I didn't mean to sound brash or anything with that, I was just being brutally honest. :) I commend you for trying to think outside of the box, so to speak, while taking pics. Don't let my words or anybody elses discourage you.

That is how you develop your own style, in whatever it may be.

I love B/W's so that one is awesome.

Were you just messing around with a new camera?

The first two pics don't really seem to capture much of anything other than objects. Perhaps in day light or a different filter on the lens like an inferred the pictures might have been a bit more interesting. It captured the water nicely, fast shutter speed?

I like pic 5 too. But I think the colour needs to be adjusted to bring out the green more.
