This unedited screen was produced by my current system. Try booting the machine without a keyboard, get this fine message on POST. Wanna run a server without a keyboard? Piece of cake! Just press F1 and it works like magic!

PS: That's actually my workstation. I dutifully thank Intel that my D810EMO server asks for no such favors.

ROFL! I'm sure half the crowd won't get it. ;)

BTW, Leo V, about a month back, I thought of you as I ripped my four 4,000rpm case fans out of my case and replaced them with two 2,100rpm, 21db Vantecs. I went from a screaming case, to a "conversational tone" case. What a difference. Currently the noisiest thing in my main rig is my GF3. That little fan SCREAMS, dude! :Q i never realized how loud it was until I prevented it from spinning at bootup with my finger holding the fan back.

however, unlike you, with your big brass b@lls and your fried GF4 (sorry!!!!!!) i don't have the cajones to yank the fan off my GF3...I like it too much...I got a good one...plays MOHAA at 1152x864x32 with all details cranked to max and not a stutter on the screen to be found. I'll keep it awhile.

Just though I'd let you know that I eagerly read all of your "I'm so pissed at my computer..it runs at 34db! :|" threads with aplomb. :)

Uh yeah, that's hilarious, but there's been a joke about this for about 3 years now.

Mike, that's great to hear (or not to!) As you can see, I'm running a 1700+ Athlon at 1600+ no problem by now (two 21dB Panaflos @7V = 12dBA each, 15dBA total). It doesn't even get hot--all a matter of a good heatsink/AS, strategic airflow & fan placement.

The good news about your videocard is that Zalman should be releasing a fanless VGA cooler (suitable for even Ti4600) using a heatpipe. GeForce3 should have no problem. BTW, my destruction of the GF4 was a result of excessive scientific curiosity rather than the modification itself.

VBboy, I thought it was longer than 3 years--plenty of time to fix the stupid thing by now, don't you think?

Thanks, this will become my server eventually.

Actually they put that there incase the keyboard is just erroring out. My friends workstation at work does that and he indeed has a keyboard attached (we dont know whats wrong with his keyboard, functions perfectly). It'd be stupid of them not to give you any option if you had a keyboard attached that worked, but had some sort of error that you couldn't get past.
