Good deal for fast memory, but I just picked up a 4 GB Kingston CF card for $24.99 from Fry's.

Just to make a minor correction, it's Ultra II and Extreme III.

Not bad prices, kind of tempting, but with a new Canon 40D I think I will stick with 4GB and above.

Thanks, updated! What's the difference between an Ultra and an Extreme?

Yeah, these are good prices for really fast flash/sd cards. However, 2GB will only fit ~350 high quality JPEG photos on my Rebel XSI and it is still going to be too slow for continuous shooting in RAW at 0.75fps.

Transfer speed.

The ultra II top out around 5mb per second, while the Extreme III hit around 9mb per second. (according to some reviews I've read). Not sure about P+S cameras, but D-SLRs can take advantage of this and allow for the buffer to clear quicker, giving you more continuous shots and faster feedback on single shots.

Thanks OP, I was just looking for some faster SD cards.
