Here is the picture in question. It shows two spectrums refracted, I assume, in clouds made of ice crystals. The sun is hidden just behind the edge of the roof.
My question is why are the two halos not concentric? I've seen a lot of double rainbows, but all of them have been concentric. These two are clearly... err, not. Is this caused by having two seperate layers of cloud? I couldn't tell if there were multiple layers at the time, and now it's completely overcast (as per Houston SOP).
Either way, pretty cool.
