Photo software...... Best one

I need a photosoftware program, preferably free. I had an old AcDsee program where I could just right on the image, then go right into auto correction but I lost it and the new one is not like that. I dont need anything expert wise. I just like to touch them I.E. to dark I lighten them up or auto adjust color. Thanks for your help.

You did not mention freeware - Photoshop Elements 3 is the best for the home user currently imho - can be got for 50$

I'll mention PhotoSuite 7. Costs $30 from the web site. I've got an older version that I enjoy using for photo editing.

for editing go with Photoshop Elements, hands down the best for not much money 50$,
for organizing you can stay with adobe and use Photoshop Album, it seems to be liked by many people, its also free, I use Thumbs+ to organize mainily because i like it better then PSA

picasa is nice but it does not have RAW support, unless they changed that, i also didnt like the interface

if you have a Mac just use iPhoto
