Photo Shrink Software Recommendation

Can someone please recommend a free software that will easily shrink the size of photographs (jpeg images)? Thanks!

I am a big fan of IRFANVIEW. Free, light weight, easy to use. I use it's batch resize and rename on all the Digital photos I send to people.

I use FastStone Image resizer, it's free and allows batch operations.

If you use XP, there is a power toy called Image resizer that will do what you want.

i use XnView, which is very similar to IrfanView.
all of the above suggestions are good.

btw, once i used XnView to both re-size and re-compress a folder with about 300 5Mb-JPGs. after the operation the files shrank to less than 800Kb each. of course, none of them were meant to be "developed" into actual photographs.

Thanks for all the help to everyone! I got IrfanView and it did the job perfectly. Also looked into the Image Resizer tool for XP, seems it would have also worked. Cheers!
