So a $2,000 premium may actually get you a better monitor? While it isn't the case 100% of the time, I would hope so. Hardly an "Aha!" moment. There's a reason true "pro" monitors have "pro" prices.

That being said, don't put too much stock in factory calibration. If you're serious about color accuracy you're going to calibrating it yourself on a regular basis anyhow.
 
Notice that the Eizo's Delta E measurements are normalized to value at the center of the panel (ie. "based on center"). If we take that into consideration, then the 30" HP you linked is actually better than the "superior QC" on the Eizo.
