Photo Matte or Photo Glossy CD/DVD Labels

Does anyone know how well photo matte labels compare to glossy labels?

Do the matte labels look more like commercial labels, or are glossy the way to go?

Also, I heard some adhesives are bad for cd/dvds. What type of adhesive should be used to prevent cd/dvd damage?

Putting a label - any kind of a label - on a dvd is a bad idea. Because of the smaller tracks (as compared to cd) it is much more likely to be made unreadable by warping or unbalancing caused by the label. Many people have had this problem. The only solution is to buy printable media.

I use photo matte labels on all my DVD's and I have never had a problem w/ them playing on my computer, stand-alone DVD player & PS2 🙂
