Photo contact sheet generator software?

Anyone know of freeware that can scan a directory of images and produce one JPEG file that is a contact sheet, showing thumbnails of all the pictures in that directory?

Assuming the number of images is under ~500, you could just open the directory for browsing in ACDSee or Paintshop Pro (or even Windows Explorer with thumbanil view turned on) and screenshot the window.

See, I am going to put all of my photos on my server, mainly so I can access them from work or anywhere else, and rather than I download an entire directory, I would prefer to download a "contact sheet image file", find what I want, and download that one image.

I know what you mean, but I don't know what software can do it.
I think Jurassic Aftershoot, if I recall.
Someone told me about it in the past, but I can't remember.
If all else fails, pm anubis. He'd know.

Picasa can print contact sheets I think, so all you'd need is a PDF writer. Woah you just gave me a good idea!
