Photo Blankets

I'm thinking about buying a photo blanket for my girlfriend for Christmas. Do you guys have any experience with these things? I'd appreciate any recommendations or tips you guys have for me.

This is what I'm thinking of getting.

Take a photo of her, put it in Photoshop, convert it to 8 bit color, and you'll have what it will look like. Not pretty.
I saw these at Best Buy and was not impressed with the colors.
