Kind of like how A's batters got owned by Derek Lowe's 4 seam fastball.

I thought choke holds like that were illegal? Or have I just watched "Training Day" too many times?

I saw that on TV. I was that close to the field in game 2, to the point where I could have easily taunted A's players (their dugout was literally beneath me). If my friends had started talking shiet in a situation like that, I would've fvckin knocked his ass out. How can you be disrespectful like that when an injury is at stake, especially one involving the cranial region. I was so mad when I saw his friends telling the Red Sox players to "bring it". It's idiots like those that 1) shouldn't be allowed at ballgames and 2) shouldn't be allowed to live.

I hope someone kicks his ass. What an asshole. I was rooting for the A's as I'm in the Bay Area, but come on, carry some fvcking class you dipsh!t.

In CA that chokehold is illegal even for the police to use. Too many people were getting brain damage and the cops were being sued.

the judge will be a red sox fan and throw the case out. then the guy in the orange visor will start complaining to which the judge tells the bailiff to put the guy in a chokehold ala the game. then everyone will start laughing at the guy ala austin powers style with the judge being dr. evil.

?? wtf does that have to do with anything. You think anyone that goes to a ballgame intimidates a baseball player? Have you seen how fast they can swing a freakin bat.

Forearm across the neck is called a bar-arm. The security could've easily broke the guy's trachea. I don't know if the manuver is illegal but the police in CA cannot use bar-arms. Neck restraints (Where the guy's neck is in between the elbow bend instead of the forearm) is only used by the police in deadly force situations.

probably because they couldn't determine if the person was brain damaged before or after their run in with the cops ;)
