If you can make a reasonable assumption that the Dear Leader and the Base are reflections of each other, then you only need to hear the rumblings of the psychiatric professionals who've spoken out against the Criminal-in-Chief to infer that there is also some kind of mass hysteria.

The GOP has been knowingly crazifying their base since Gingrich, at least. It's a cumulative thing. Trump is the unintended consequence. He beat the GOP at their own game & forced them to kiss the ring. Their delusional voters demand it.
