Bozowell to hold RSVP only phone "town hall"

WTF? Are these Congress critters so scared of their constituents that they need to hide behind a phone? Bozowell is not the only one who is doing this - he's just my local critter. Any one else's critter just phoning it in?

My critter is actually calling ME to join a teleconference. Got a message last week saying "I'll call back on august 24th at 6:00 pm". John Yarmouth (D-KY). He was only going to do telecalls but after much pressure I think he's actually doing one or two in person.

I don't know how they are going to handle questions or concerns.

Yes, I realize the Dems had their own squads of shouting morons during the Bush years.

Phone-in "town hall" ? That's gotta be one of the most stupid things ever. Tell your rep you want to see them in person at a town hall, not hear them on the phone, unless they want you to also phone in your vote come election time.

Yeah. He's up for re-election next year, and so far is not polling too well. Couple of good Rep. candidates running against him and last I heard a Dem as well.

Nothing productive is going on at these meetings from either side. The dems have changed messages 6 times and the reps are trying to scare the fuck out of everyone.

there is no "actual bill" but there is the issue. You may not like how some express their views because they are too broad(founding fathers and all that) but it doesn't change anything. Why shouldn't the critters have to listen - even if it is "grandstanding" - hell the critters do it all the time and expect us to listen to their crap.
