phoneline network recommendations

I plan on networking a windows 98 machine with a windows 2k/winME (dual boot)machine and it's impossible to use a normal cat cable networking so I'm probably gonna go with phonline (unless there's a huge disadvantage: are there any?). also, I might add another comp to the network so there would be 3 computers. so what kit do you guys recommend?

btw, I'm mostly going to use the network for sharing printers and files. and some gaming (age of empires 2, quake 3, unreal, etc) once in a while so should I go for the 1mb or 10mb kit?
