depends on what you want on a phone. I just upgraded by GS2 to a GS5 because I love the extra memory and the removable battery. I likethe removable battery because I keep phones longer and batteries fail. I like the memory to store movies that I take to show my kids on the road.

If you really want battery life, get a GS5 and put on a battery case. It'll last for 2 days with a modest case. I don't understand people telling you to swap from Android to IOS when you never expressed dissatisfaction with your phone.

One other thing I did was go to a Qi chargin system since I've gone through a couple phones with failed USB ports. Qi charges without cords, which should help phone life.

Also if you want a smaller phone go with one of the minis, but they won't have the same support for cases or oversized battery packs

So with the preorder of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus up, do you think it matters which I get to try and sell?

First of all if you have an iPhone trade-in you could get at least $330.

Strictly for resale purposes, I would get whatever you can get your hands on ASAP. The quicker you can get it and sell it, the more $$$ you'll get. I wonder if upgrading to 64GB or 128GB will get you more money? Also what color?

Would be nice to buy an iPhone 6 16GB for $649 and sell it for $800 or more, instant $151 profit.

Yeah I can preorder them now with my upgrade. I don't have an older iPhone model. The AT&T store doesn't indicate any sort of inventory issues - all models/sizes say expected to ship on 9/19

Iphone 6 16gb is $200, 64gb is $300.

the Plus is 16gb $300, 64gb $400, 128gb $500

Of course you have to factor in the $40 upgrade charge, plus taxes all factor in to the eventual net-profit.

The colors are Space Grey, Silver, or Gold.

I'm just not sure which would be easiest to sell for the highest potential profit. Any of them would be ok I suppose

I still don't really get how it won't affect my line though, like when I go to upgrade it lists my data plan as "Mobile Share Value for iPhone on 4G LTE ". Obviously, I won't be using an iPhone - so will everything still be fine if I'm still just using my S2 or switch to an S5 or whatever?

Also, will the phone coming from AT&T be locked to them or not?

It looks like the Plus is more scarce than the 6. Plan name is irrelevant.

Ok, I think I'll probably go with the base 16gb iPhone Plus then.

Does Apple still not let you add your own MicroSD for storage? lol

Still don't get why AT&T makes you 'change' your plan when you switch to an iPhone. It's the exact same thing plan service now just says 'for iPhone' in it. lol

Oh I missed the little print beneath each phone. The only one now that says it will arrive around 9/19 is the regular iPhone 6 128gb ($400).
The other iPhone 6 models say "Ships in 7 - 14 business days"
while the Plus models all say "Ships in 35 - 42 business days"

I pre-ordered the iPhone 6 16gb model which should come in around release day. Any idea what I might expect to try selling it for?

Also, should I wait longer to see if prices drop on phones (M8, S5) or go ahead and look into getting one? There's an M8 on Swappa for about $360 that seems like a good deal
