Hi there :) It's time to buy a phone!

As it stands now, I'm just using a generic Samsung piece of crap. I am unfortunately contracted to Bell at the moment.

My aim is something small, customizeable and full of awesome.

Yes, I said it- full of awesome.

Any ideas?

What company is "Bell"? Pacific Bell? Southwestern Bell? Bell Canada?

So, Bell Canada is on CDMA (like Verizon in the US). Since it's not on the GSM system like Rogers and most of the rest of the world, you are obviously limited to a much smaller set of phones to choose from.

Blackberry Pearl - has phone, email, camera with a flash, webbrowser, calendar, MP3, takes miniSD cards. It has a GPS built in. It's small, and has a nice bright screen. Everything together with the GPS counts as "pretty awesome" to me, and it's small in size and doesn't have a touchscreen.

HTC 6800 Mogul - customizeable, has WiFi, slide out keyboard, big screen, has a camera that can take 2MP photos and videos. It's a bit bigger than the Pearl - but almost everything is, but it's running Windows Mobile as the OS so it's easy to add stuff to.

If it was me, I'd get the Pearl - mostly based on the size and the features. It's small, not too expensive, customizeable... I was going to get a Pearl for myself up until I changed my mind over to an iPhone.

Those are the choices, any opinions on them? I'm not looking for a phone in terms of talking, as I rarely do that. But I do want something I can text with rather easily, and perhaps have fun / screw around with in class when I'm bored.

My dad is also getting one, and he likes the Muzik, apparently the numbers are big enough for him to see.

I am leaning towards the double-flip or the blackberry, what can one do that the other cant?
