Wasn't sure if this was the right place, because I'm not sure if it's a general memory card issue or a phone issue.
My phone (Galaxy S5) started telling me my microSD card is corrupt and it can't read it. I plugged it into my laptop and it reads it just fine. I ran chkdsk and it says "Windows has checked the file system and found no problems."
To be safe, I backed up any files I cared about (photos, etc.).
Should I try reformatting? If so, should I do it on my pc or in my phone?

clean the contacts with some contact cleaner. This happened to me where i had files starting to corrupt, turned out to be a little corrosion on the sd card contacts, cleaned it up and still using that card 2 years later.
