EDIT
I guess the screenshot is the SD card.

Evo.
I have the phone plugged into my computer. It is out of space on the phone but the SD Card has plenty of space. I'd like to move some stuff to the SD Card. I am not seeing the SD Card.

When you plug it in, do you have a choice to select "Charge only", "Debug mode" or "Storage"? On a few past phones, I've to select storage mode in order to see the SD card.... If you use a file explorer such as Astro on the phone, does it show up OK then?

It shows up in Astro. I've never tried to move files in Astro. Even if you can, it has to be easier on the PC.I'll plug it in again and double check the choices.
Thanks.

EDIT
Disk Drive is selected

That folder is your SD card.
Ah.
So I can't see what's on the phone and delete/move anything via my PC?
I've moved everything I can from the phone to the SD Card via the phone.

I just pictured a smartphone growing legs and literally running out of the room.

On my droid incredible, I would get 2 drives in windows. One for the internal storage, one for the sdcard.

What kind of phone?

HTC Evo 4G

I guess I'll either have to root it or upgrade to a phone like the Samsung Galaxy III.

On the Evo, under "Settings", then "Applications", does it have a sub-menu called "Manage Applications"? If so, that is where I move my apps from the phone to the SD card. When you then select an app, it will have a tab that literally says "Move to SD card?". Give that a look....

I moved everything it let me move.

I went through and deleted all updates for the junk they put on the phone (nascar, qik, etc) and don't allow you to uninstall or move. That freed up a little bit of room. I now have 131 MB of space and the warning went away. For now.

Was going to root (had it rooted before but I had to get a replacement phone so I unrooted) but all the guides are old and when I follow them the version numbers are all different. Don't want to brick the phone.

If you have Amazon appstore installed, go into Android/data/com.amazon.venezia/cache folder and delete all the files if you haven't already. That will free up space taken up by apk files of apps already installed from the Amazon market.

I'm confused.
Are you trying to free space on your user-accessable storage (MicroSD card) or your application storage space?

Just looked up the evo. It looks like it has 440MB of internal storage, then whatever the size of the SD card. I'm guessing you're not getting a drive letter for the sdcard in windows.

Not sure why either.

I am trying to free up space on the phone's internal storage. They got a ton og bloatware on it and some of the apps I have installed can't be put on the SD Card.
The SD Card is 32 GB with 12 GB Free.

The bloatware is on /system. Apps are stored in /data. Different partitions, and one doesn't affect free space on the other. Updates to preinstalled system apps will go into /data/app and you can uninstall those to free a little space, but the base system apps themselves aren't going to give you more room to install apps from the market if you delete them using root.
