Phone recommendation? 5 inch or less phone for Verizon.

So I dropped my Moto X (1st gen), and it's been quickly losing the ability to do things - first "Ok Google", then the front facing camera, now it's gotten critical as it isn't always getting calls.

My requirements for a new phone:

- Screen between 4.7" (moto x) and 5". Big phones suck.
- Great speaker. I use speakerphone all the time, and the Moto X never really had enough power.
- Android. Preferably pure Android, but I'll take what I can get.
- Affordable used. I don't need the latest and greatest. Looking to spend ~200-250 max (used).
- Thin. My moto x is 10.4 mm thick and feels huuuge.
- 32GB+

And these things would be great:
- OLED screen - I love active display on my moto x, and would like to use on of the apps that replicate this. It's my understanding that doing this on non-OLED takes a significant toll on the battery? (Is this still true? Any recommendations in this vein are appreciated)
- Some degree of network agnosticism, even if just Sprint / Verizon. Currently on Sprint, but will switch to Verizon soon-ish. Would be great if I can start on Sprint so I can put off the switch until a good deal comes along.

HTC One M9

It got (rightly) panned a bit because it wasn't a clear upgrade over the M8, but it's one of a handful of phones of the current and upcoming generation of phones that's 5", Verizon-compatible, has good speakers, 32GB internal, and under $250 shipped good condition on Swappa. It's not super thin but thinner at 9.6 mm. Has HTC's Sense UI, which I still like even though lately I've been using more stock Android (or close to stock - I'm a original Moto X owner, too) and CM. Sense is different looking than vanilla Android, but in my experience it's very smooth.

You have more options if you can go above 5". Some phones with > 5" do have good screen-to-body ratios, so I would at least consider going a little bigger.
