I work for the phone company and we have some old phone rentals in the back from when they used to rent them out. Some are pretty awesome. They don't make stuff like they used to. Some of these you could drop off a 3 storey building in the parking lot and they'd survive. Good ol rotary phones. Not a single electronic part, all mechanical and all serviceable too. The shell is cast iron lawls. The other day a very interesting one came in, it had a really thick cable and the end looked kinda like a sideways serial connector. I'm sure eventually the DMS will stop supporting those though. old school to the max pulse dialing.
