Phone plans, paying with visa.. - Need some help.

Hello.

I have two problems here, thought this was the best place to ask.

First, I have a Simens SX1 phone, but my Norwegian phone plan doesn?t work here. (Prepaid). I?m only going to stay here for four more months ? What would be the best plan for me to ask for? I?m basically only going to receive calls from Norway, and send some SMS back. Unlimited American phone time would be a complete waste of money for me. Another ting about phone plans, how does Internet connection thru cell phones work here? ? Or how does it work at all. I?m living in a dorm, and we don?t have Internet on our own computers. By the way, I?m stuck somewhere in Missouri. My phone claims that T-Mobile and AT&T wireless are the only networks I may connect to.

The second question is American internet shops. I usually use Visa to pay for stuff over internet at home, but newegg seems to have some other solution. Are there any very reliable netshops that accepts visa? I?m going to buy a 1gb MMC card.

You can only use a U.S. Credit Card. Sucks, I know... I couldn't use any of my European Cards.

i don't know about cell phones, but there should be a way to do a prepaid account for your phone

Thank you. I'm at a Lutheran High School in some small town... Why not take a year abroad. I was at a wal-mart, their ...phone booth?... claimed that i had to buy a new phone in order to get a prepaidplan. I don't know...

Anyways, with prepaid phones, you need a new phone. That's true, but they must have some very cheap phones that go with prepaid plans, probably something like 6110 It will be big, ugly, and function-less but people can call you from back home You can always PM me for more info.
