Yesterday I installed the Diamond HomeFree 10mbps Phoneline network kit. The two systems are as follows: iP!!!-650/ABit BH6/256MB PC133 SDRAM/IBM 13.5G HD/Hercules Prophet II MX 32MB video. i233MMX/Shuttle HOT-569/64MB SDRAM/WD 2.1G HD/Hercules Thriller 3D 8MB PCI video. Both systems run Win98 original, currently patched.
Install of both PCI cards went well, as did driver and software installation. File and printer sharing also work well. What does not weem to work is the interet sharing. Wingate is the sharing software, dial up to ISP.
Now, could this be the problem? The P!!!-650 is the internet sharing computer, and it gets it's internet access from a different phone line than the line that network-connects the two computers. Any suggestions you might have will be welcome!
