Phone interview tomorrow afternoon...tips?

  • Thread starter Thread starter

I've got a phone interview tomorrow with someone from the DOJ for an internship position there. I'm usually pretty uncomfortable speaking to people I don't know on the phone, so I'm not really sure if there are any precautions I should take before the interview.

I'm definitely going to make sure I have:
  • a copy of my resume
  • notes about the particular division of the DOJ to which I'm applying
  • a couple questions to ask when the interviewer asks me if I have any questions
  • a list of relevant coursework/information that will help me with the interview
  • a glass of water in case of emergency hyrdration needs
Any other suggestions?

Actually a glass of water is a good idea to prevent cotton mouth that can occur when you talk alot. - I don't know if thats what you mean when you say emergency hydration.

write down your weaknesses and strengths, why you would be the best candidate, and speak clearly and slowly
