phone encryption

Hello everyone,

I am interested in purchasing a software called PhoneCrypt, from SecurStar. All i know about it is that it is a professional telephone encryption software that protects your communication against eavesdropping and interception by encrypting confidential phone calls using ultra-strong military grade encryption.

I would be very grateful if any of you could give me more information and opinions about it.

Looks like it encrypts cellphone calls with AES and has a few other features. I'm interested in why you think your cellphone might be tapped? Cellphones are already encrypted and listening in involves following you around with a van full hackers and radio gear - it's much easier to tap your landline and intercept your internet communications etc. Unless you work for some kind of secret goverment agency I doubt you need this, and if you do work for some secret goverment agency you surely have better people to consult than me 🙂

And of course you know that the party being called needs the encryption package too, right?

Just purchase a set of STU-III/STE cell phones.
