Phone Dilemma

Somehow, my Blackberry Bold 9650 got damaged last week and I did an insurance claim ($99 deductible). Got the new phone today, and at the same time, noticed a special on Verizon's website for $199 for the new Bold 9930. Ordered the new Bold 9930, so now I'm trying to figure out if I should return the insurance claim phone (and get my $99 back) or keep it and have a spare, sell it, etc.

Thoughts?

I assume you were eligible for the NE2 deal in order to get the 9930 for $199, in which case it didn't make sense to pay $99 for another 9650.

You should first check w/ Verizon to see if you can sell the 9650. You can get a lot more than $99 for it on ebay or craigslist. The insurance program (Assurion?) would seem to be pretty open to abuse if they let you sell it, but I don't see why or how they could stop you since your line is now tied to the 9930 and the 9650 is basically paid off at this point.

Discounted pricing. NE2 (had I waited until April) would have made it $99.

I think I can sell the refurbished phone. Why not? But I can't see getting much more than $99 for it... eBay has em for $150 with shipping and I don't want to warranty something. I'd rather get guaranteed $99...
