Phone company and DSL company have to be the same?

Right now, my landline phone service is through Comcast. Is it possible for me get hooked up with Qwest or Verizon or any other DSL company without changing my phone service?

Or, for that matter, is it possible to get DSL service without getting landline phone service?
 
You cannot get DSL without a landline (one of the reasons I canceled and got comcast) but you can get someone else's dsl service regardless of landline provider.
 
you can get dsl from a provider other than your phone company. trust me though, if you have any problems with your dsl, & it ends up being the phone companies fault, you might as well give up ever trying to get anything solved.
