Phone case tests?

So I decided (based on advice in this forum) to get the 2015 Moto G. Since my last phoned stopped working because I dropped it one too many times, I decided to get a case for it. Naturally I googled "best Moto G case" and got lots and lots or results. After looking at them I realized they had no testing criteria and no definition of what is best. It looks like the authors of those articles just went to amazon and copied whatever cases looked cool.

1. Does anyone know of a good site that actually tests what they talk about?
2. Does anyone have a particular brand or Moto G case that looks good while providing good drop protection?

I've had good results with Otterbox although the ones I used in the past tended to be a bit bulky.

I've personally bought for my Nexus 5 cases from Ebay at a decent price. Bought 5-6 cases until decided which is best for my device.

Also don't forget to buy tempered glass shield for your screen.

My boss' LifeProof(I think that's the name) ruined the sound to others when he talks on the phone. I think it has a membrane to make it waterproof, and it sounds like his voice is being routed through a can and string.

That's all I've got. My case(Iblason) is slowly self destructing. I like everything about it except the way it's made :^D If the materials were better, I'd get one again.

if you get the right case, you shouldn't need tempered glass. E.g. Tudia TPU Melody case, which is the case I settled on for both G2 and Nexus 5

Get a case that is independently tested to the common military specification for drops and vibrations.

Trident and Speck (started by Samsonite) are two brands that do this.

I have trident aegis case for my phone. It probably saved me a broken screen.
