The office that I work at has a simple PBX system with 15 phones. What I would like to do is connect my computers modem to the system and use it to make and receive calls using my Plantronics headset. Does anyone know of any software that exists for this type of function? It would be great if it would have a feature similar to skype's cltick-to-call where a skype plugin identifies and highlights all phone numbers on a web page and allows you to call the number by clicking on it.

You could do this with Outlook and any modem, but I doubt that will work with a PBX.

To get into the PBX system, it would need to have regular analog ports.
Get me a make/model on the PBX and I could tell you if it was possible.

You're from the TBox forums right?
no.

It is a Panasonic TA824 Advanced Hybrid system

click on the operating instructions.
From what I can see it will support a plain old POTS device; it lists single line telephones and fax machines. It either uses a second pair for features or out-of-bandwidth signaling.

A true PBX is a digital station that will not run a fax or whatever, only the proprietary phones.
